Alright folks, here we are; rivalry week. One of my favorite weeks of the year. Let me know what you think will happen in some of the best in state rivalry games this weekend, plus a few border wars as well.
I actually think state has the best chance for an upset, but I hope not. Alabama may have a tougher time with Auburn than most ppl think, and I think AK has a good chance of beating LSU for the 4th time. We'll see if OM's defense can stop Dixon, and if State can stop McCluster. I think that the Connerly trophy will be a tough decision between Dixon and Mc, both are deserving but Dex got started a little late. Dixon is one of the top backs in the country and I wouldn't be disappointed if he won it.
It is a good chase for the best player in Mississippi, I just wish Damion Fletcher would have had a better season down at Southern because then it would be a three horse race between the top three universities in the state. But as it stands it should be a great race.
Should be a fantastic game Saturday at Scott Field.
Nice mention of Fletcher zmiller. If he has a good game against East Carolina, then he could end up in the NCAA top 5 ALL TIME in rushing yards for a career. Think about that! In terms of an upset this weekend, I think Kentucky is primed for an upset over Tennessee. I know they've lost 24 straight games to the Vols, but If I were going to pick an upset this weekend it would be Kentucky or possibly Arkansas. Man, I love rivalry week!
State/OM game will be very entertaining. I think OM wins a very close game. If(very big if) state slows down DM they win the game for the simple fact Snead still has no confidence. The Iron Bowl will be close for a half. Then the Tide rolls in the 3rd and 4th. I hope the Wildcats stick it to the Viles.
me either z believe me...it looks like we're going to Dallas again, not too bad, i'd like to see the new stadium...it is certainly a disappointing season but I'll take two cotton bowl trips in a row any day. we have good coaches and good talent at OM so we're on the way up, can't wait till next season.
Yeah we'll finally see what kind of recruiting ppl we have but i'm pretty confident, I don't expect to play for the West every year but to be competitive is a reasonable goal.
I think every team in the SEC can be competitive next season, most definitely. Vanderbilt and Mississippi State should both improve significantly. So, this league could easily get 10 teams in the bowls next year too and maybe even 11.
